Sign-in and organization

Sign in and sign up

arcula has no passwords: you sign in with a code from email or a passkey.

Sign in with a code from email

  1. Enter your email → “Get a code”.
  2. An email with a 6-digit code arrives. It works for 10 minutes.
  3. Enter the code. If two-step sign-in is on — also a code from the app or a passkey.

No email — check “Spam” and press “Send again”: a new code replaces the previous one. At most 5 codes per email per hour. After 5 wrong tries the code stops working — ask for a new one.

Sign up

On arcula.sh — “Get started”, or “Sign up” on the sign-in page:

  1. Email → “Get a code”.
  2. The code from the email.
  3. An organization name → “Create and sign in”. Your servers and storages live in it; you are its owner.

By invitation

Open the link from the invitation email and press “Get a code at …” — the code goes to the invited email. After the code you are in the organization with the role from the invitation. If you're already signed in with that email, press “Accept”.

An invited person has no organization of their own — they can create one in the menu under the avatar: “Create organization”. More — Members and roles.

Passkey

Sign in without an email or a code: Face ID, Touch ID or a hardware key. Add one — “Settings” → “Panel sign-in” → “Passkeys” → “Add”. Signing in with a passkey doesn't ask for a second step: the key on your device already is one.

Confirm before a risky action

Delete a server, storage data or an organization, download the kit, change the recovery key, unpin a pinned point, turn two-step sign-in on or off — before this the panel asks whether it's you. Confirm with:

  • “Code from email” → “Send a code”;
  • “Code from the app”, if two-step sign-in is on;
  • the “… — with a passkey” button.

A confirmation lasts 5 minutes: the next risky action within that time asks nothing.

Sign in with a password

“Sign in with a password” on the sign-in page is for an own panel without email; arcula.sh users have no password.

The same article is in the panel, under “Help”.
