Sign-in and organization
Members and roles
Servers, storages, notification channels and the recovery key belong to an organization. It can have several people, each with their own role. One person can be in several organizations.
Roles
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything. Only the owner — members, invitations, organization settings and deleting the organization |
| Administrator | Everything else: servers, plans and “Back up now”, agent updates, storages and their keys, notifications, the recovery key and kit, the activity log |
| Viewer | Can only look. Doesn't see the activity log |
The last owner can't leave or become an administrator — make someone else an owner first.
Invite
- “Settings” → “Members” → “+ Invite”: email and role → “Invite”.
- The link reaches the person by email. You can copy it only now — it can't be shown again later.
- The person opens the link and gets a code at the invited email — after the code they are in the organization (Sign in and sign up).
The link lasts 7 days. Lost it — “New link”, and the old one stops working. “Revoke” — the link no longer works.
Role and removal
The owner changes roles in the member list — a new role works at once. “Remove” closes the person's access to the organization at once. Any member can “Leave”; they can come back only with a new invitation.
Organization
“Settings” → “Organization”: the name, the time zone (time), the language of notifications and logs, the two-step sign-in requirement. The owner changes them. Only an empty organization, without servers and storages, can be deleted — and not your only one.
The menu under the avatar: switching between your organizations and “Create organization” — a new, empty one where you're the owner.
Activity log
“Settings” → “Activity log”, seen by owners and administrators: who did what, to which object, when and from which address — sign-ins, members, plans, storages, keys, servers, the kit. Entries are kept for a year, with no passwords or keys in them.
Two-step sign-in for everyone
The owner can require two-step sign-in from all members: “Settings” → “Organization” → “Two-step sign-in” → “Require from all members”. More — Two-step sign-in.
